Superman vs. Batman, the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel, is finally starting to feel real. You know, more real than the casting of Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg, and more real than promises of a Justice League movie to follow in 2018. So why does the movie feel more real now than it did before? Because we’re getting our first look at a significant prop from the movie.
Of course, “prop” is probably the wrong word for it. The object in question is the iconic Batmobile, to be driven by the new Batman himself, Ben Affleck. The new design was teased by director Zack Snyder over Twitter, as the Superman vs. Batman helmer released an image of the Batmobile peeking out from under a tarp:
Could be time to pull the tarp…Tomorrow? http://t.co/Nmm0QqWYYH pic.twitter.com/E6iKluZNDj

The new design looks to be a fusion of sorts between The Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight saga, and the Batmobile of the Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher movies. Superman vs. Batman will open in theaters on May 6, 2016, but we should expect to see the new Batmobile much sooner, if the content of Snyder’s tweet is any indication. So…is it tomorrow yet?
